The CSC plate of a container
The CSC plate (Convention for Safe containers) contains a lot of information about the container. The CSC plate can be found on one of the container doors. New containers first receive an initial inspection from the factory (carried out in accordance with the CSC guidelines) valid for a period of 5 years. After this, the container must be checked periodically for defects. If the container is approved, it will receive an extension of this approval. The CSC plate is then provided with a “CSC re-date” sticker. This sticker shows how long the container can still be used until the next inspection.
All containers used for international transport must have a valid CSC plate. The Box2Trade containers are of course delivered wind- and waterproof and provided with a valid CSC plate. We can provide a CSC statement upon request (but before removing the container).
